Opportunity:
We have a fantastic opportunity within our Construction business for an ambitious and talented Senior Estimator.
The successful candidate will be joining the existing team of passionate and dedicated Preconstruction professionals.
We are looking for Estimators who have a wealth of knowledge in the main contracting market.
Experience of working on Educational, Healthcare, Custodial, Leisure or Defence schemes between £0.50 and £10 million is an advantage.

Responsibilities:
As a senior estimator you will:
- Have a background in preparation of bills of quantities both in SMM7 and NRM (1&2)
- Have a proven background in first principle preparation of construction budgets, cost plans, benchmarking and tender reports
- Have a track record in working on multi stage negotiated tender processes
- Be responsible for managing and preparing tenders from first principles
- Coordinating and challenging the input from the wider construction team including procurement,
- Engineering, commercial and supporting the bid management and quality submission requirements.
Already experienced as an estimator you will Degree educated and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the use of first principle estimating. You will have a sound working knowledge of project management principles and an awareness of current health and safety requirements and changes. You will have experience with a main construction contractor working on similar projects including leisure, education & commercial.
About the Scotland Central Team:
The Scotland North Team are currently working on projects across the Highlands of Scotland. The current secured portfolio of work is varied and challenging and includes primary education, primary health care and long term residential care facilities together with future workload that encompasses all market sectors.
We are delighted to be Tier 1 contractors on both Hub West and Hub South West and are also currently partners on both the CCS and LHC Frameworks which will continue to provide excellent opportunities for our business for another three to four years. Our short to medium business plan going forward is to consolidate our business further in the Highlands of Scotland by securing projects in the Highlands, Murray and Grampian maintaining our relationship with Public Sector clients but growing our portfolio of commercial clients.
