Opportunity: 

We have a fantastic opportunity within our Highways business unit for an ambitious and talented Third Party Interface Manager for Lower Thames Crossing

Responsibilities

  • Capture and manage Third Party Requirements and Commitments across all three projects, utilising trackers and a Commitments and Requirements Management Tool
  • Manage the interface with the third parties and the Main Works Contractors and Ancillary contractors
  • Support National Highways in managing corporate and project relationships with Statutory Undertakers and other Third Parties
  • Support the attainment of Third Party Agreements with the National Highways Commercial Team.
  • Drive collaboration in and improvements to the delivery of third party requirements by the Main Works Contractors and Ancillary Contractors
  • Liaise with the Main Works Contractors and Ancillary Contractors in delivering Third Party Requirements
  • Maintain Third Party Requirements baseline data
  • Capture and manage all Third Party Requirements within the Integrated Project/Programme Schedule and report against commitments and requirements progress
  • Provide technical input and guidance, in terms of engineering and design, across multiple asset types.
  • Co-ordinate inputs e.g. constraints, from other disciplines as required
  • To deliver parent company programme governance requirements as required
  • To consider programme legacy and in all decision making in the same way as cost, risk and time
  • To look for ways to encourage innovative thinking around how to improve legacy benefits
  • To hold health, safety, security and wellbeing (HSSW) as a key programme value and to participate in the creation, development and implementation of HSSW strategies by the programme leadership team

Previous Experience

  • Management of third party interfaces and working to associated legal agreements with major stakeholders including Statutory Undertakers such as Network Rail, National Grid, UKPN, as well as Local Authorities and major private organisations.
  • Experience of managing and tracking third party agreement deliverables through the approval process and reporting compliance
  • Experience of relating commitments and agreements to construction scope.
  • Track record of delivering projects to time, cost quality standards across all stages of project lifecycle
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully working in/adapting the philosophy of a 'One Team' environment within an NEC contract context
  • Team oriented leader with the ability to work closely with peers; delegate, motivate and empower individuals and teams
  • Examples of exercising sound judgement, leading and facilitating decision making on complex issues among multiple parties
  • To be able to work across diverse stakeholders
  • Educated to degree standard and membership of an appropriate professional body or equivalent work history
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a major infrastructure project in a similar industry and/or to working in a matrix and dispersed team

 

 

Skills

  • Ability to work and develop engagement & commitment across all levels of the project, the client and Third Party Stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interface directly with the client on critical matters where required
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience of using GIS and Planning software
  • Ability to compile data, and present and produce reports for internal and external distribution
  • Integration, analysis and presentation of complex information
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
  • To influence all levels in an organisation to produce timely documents etc.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and personal resilience to working to strict timelines/different styles of leadership
