Location: Sellafield Site, Cumbria
Contract Type: Permanent
Clearance Required: Security Clearance (SC)

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking a Project Commercial Director to lead the commercial delivery of a major long-term programme at Sellafield. This is a flagship opportunity to shape and oversee the commercial strategy for a £750m+ programme across a complex and highly regulated nuclear licensed site.

About the Programme

This 15+ year contract with Sellafield Ltd involves the design and build of critical electrical infrastructure across the site. The programme is central to the future of the UK's nuclear capability and demands exceptional leadership, commercial rigour, and collaborative delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic commercial leadership across the programme, ensuring robust governance, financial performance, and risk management.
  • Lead all aspects of commercial management pre- and post-call off, including NEC contract administration, procurement strategy, and supply chain engagement.
  • Drive accurate financial forecasting, cost control, and commercial reporting.
  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative environment across internal teams, client stakeholders, and supply chain partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and security requirements, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience delivering a programme of contracts in a complex, highly regulated environment — ideally within nuclear, infrastructure, or major capital projects.
  • Deep understanding of NEC contracts and commercial frameworks.
  • Strong procurement and supply chain management expertise.
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen and leadership in challenging environments.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
  • Security clearance (or ability to obtain) is essential.
  • People leadership.
  • Strong collaborative behaviours, being able to forge strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Why Join Us?

This is a rare opportunity to lead a transformative programme within one of the UK’s most critical infrastructure environments. You’ll be part of a business that values innovation, collaboration, and long-term impact — with the autonomy and support to shape success.
