Lead Information Manager 

Nuclear Business Unit 

We’re seeking an Lead Information Manager to lead the information management function across our Nuclear business unit.

This is a pivotal role, responsible for shaping and embedding robust digital information management practices that ensure data is reliable, compliant, and accessible. You’ll lead a team of senior and lead information managers, act as the subject matter expert (SME) for ISO 19650, and drive innovation in how we manage and use data across projects and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities: 

ISO 19650 & Standards Governance

  • Act as SME for ISO 19650 and related standards, ensuring consistent application across all projects.
  • Lead the business unit’s ISO 19650 implementation and compliance strategy.
  • Oversee accreditation and audit readiness (e.g. BSI).
  • Integrate digital processes to enhance collaboration and workflow efficiency.
  • Stay informed on innovations and best practices in digital information management.

Information Management Leadership

  • Develop and govern information management plans, systems, and templates.
  • Implement a roadmap for consistent and efficient information handling across the asset lifecycle.
  • Oversee BIM execution plans and supply chain engagement.
  • Standardise handover and archiving strategies.
  • Align with the sector Head of BIM to ensure consistency.

Document & Records Management

  • Oversee document control across the business unit.
  • Set functional objectives and performance metrics for document management teams.
  • Drive process improvements and resource strategies.

Data Management & Analytics

  • Lead the business unit’s data strategy, including data quality, structure, and security.
  • Embed tools like Power BI to deliver actionable insights.
  • Oversee asset data collection and handover readiness.
  • Provide regular data quality and compliance reporting.

Technology & Systems

  • Act as SME for EDMS and CDEs, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with industry best practice.
  • Evaluate and recommend new digital tools.
  • Oversee training for internal and third-party users.

Capability Development & People Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the information management and document control teams.
  • Define and deliver training programmes to maintain capability in evolving tools and standards.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Deep understanding of ISO 19650 and digital information management standards.
  • Strong technical capability with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and delivering BIM outputs.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical data to varied audiences.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of contractual information management requirements.
  • Experience supporting project handover and close-out processes.
