The Role

You will be recruited as a Bid Writing Graduate, and will complete a structured 6 week induction to the business before focussing on your role.   During the two years of the programme you will work mainly in our offices learning the art of Tender Writing, but also spend 6 week placements in broader business departments (site operations, technical and commercial) to gain an insight into the wider business.  In addition you will attend graduate programme days at our head office in Tamworth and around the business.  You will also complete the Institute of Leadership and Management’s Level 2 Award in Team Leading as an introduction to the world of management.

Skills & Experience

Candidates will have graduated in 2015 or be graduating in 2016 and have gained or be predicted to gain at least a 2.1 in a marketing, business, English Lit or related degree.

Successful candidates will have achieved high academic standards as well as being able to demonstrate a passion and commitment for a career in Bid Writing.  We will be looking for evidence of leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence.  In addition successful candidates will have:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team supporting internal customers;
  • An outgoing personality and likes working with others;
  • Solid attention to detail;
  • Excellent time management, administrative and organisational skills;
  • A good understanding of MS Office.

Desirable attributes:

  • Knowledge of or interest in the affordable housing sector;
  • Experience within an Office / Business /Design / Commercial environment;
