Description

Associate Structural Engineer

Main Responsibilities

Generate and secure engineering design commissions for Morgan Sindall Professional Services in London and the South East.

Use existing client, developer, architect, project manager contacts to generate work winning opportunities (especially in the Building Structure Sector) for Morgan Sindall Professional Services Civil & Structural Engineering Team.

Particular sectors of interest include:

Commercial Office

Retail & Leisure (eg. Hotels)

Residential (Multi Storey)

Public Sector (Healthcare & Education)

Grow the Civil & Structural Engineering Team in the London Office.

Assist the UK Director for Civil & Structural Engineering and the Business Development Sector Directors in promoting Morgan Sindall Professional Services brand as a market leading engineering consultant.

Lead the delivery of civil and structural design across multiple projects, as part of a single or multi discipline design team.

Contribute to the development and growth of UK-wide Civil & Structural Engineering Department, actively participating in the Department Management Team Meetings and decision-making.

 

Qualifications and training

  • Chartered Civil/ Structural Engineer CEng MICE/ MIStructE
  • Appropriate depth and breadth of experience

 

Skills and Experience

Personable, driven and ambitious individual with established network in the property/construction sectors in London and the South East.

Chartered Engineer with ICE/IStructE, degree qualified in Civil & Structural engineering (or Equivalent)

Carry out technical design reviews/critiques of projects in process

Assist in the mentoring and development of more junior engineers including training and planning

Fully Conversant with current codes, standards and responsibilities under CDM and health and safety regulations.

Proven ability to work within a fully integrated, multi-discipline design team.
