Job Title: Gas Engineer

Salary: Up to £ 35,000 dependant on experience

Based: Croydon and surrounding areas (Must be prepared to travel)

Our main areas of expertise include: building management systems, day-to-day responsive repairs, facilities management, void property refurbishments, insurance activity, programmed maintenance, and electrical and gas installations, servicing and repairs.

 

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Gas Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Supervisor, the role will require you to carry out gas installations, day to day repairs, fault finding and annual servicing to domestic gas appliances as well as day to day multi-trade, mainly carpentry and plumbing, repairs.

You should help us to achieve a high level of first time fix carrying out quality repairs and delivering excellent customer service.

The position includes a company van, fuel card, uniform and a tablet and training is provided to help you do the job to the best of your ability. Although the role is predominately based in the Croydon area the successful candidate must be willing to travel to cover a large area.

Hours of work are 42.5hrs per week 8:00am until 17:30pm Monday to Friday, with an hour lunch break each day, plus a requirement to cover Out of Hours call outs on a one in three week rota basis. There is also a £ 150 standby for call out and time & a half per hour per call. Double time will be paid on a Sunday or Bank Holiday.

 

About You

You should be a customer focused individual, experienced in working in occupied properties with a passion for completing a high quality repair on time and at the first visit.

You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Gas Engineer role & will have experience in servicing, breakdown and full installations including all making good.

As a minimum you should have the following competencies:

CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CKR1, G3

Although not essential having the following qualifications would be advantageous:

Part P, TETRA, Asbestos Awareness, Working At Height and Manual Handling.

A commercial qualification would also be desirable but not essential.
