Vacancy: Regional Electrical Compliance Manager

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience plus generous benefits

Based: Hackney/ Islington/ Barnet

Morgan Sindall Property Services is the service division of the £2 billion Morgan Sindall Group. We work with a wide variety of public and private sector clients and specialise in the full range of facility management and responsive repair and maintenance activity. Our main areas of expertise include: building management systems, day-to-day responsive repairs, facilities management, void property refurbishments, insurance activity, programmed maintenance, and electrical and gas installations, servicing and repairs.

 

About The Role

As Regional Electrical Compliance Manager you will advise regionally (with input nationally) on operational compliance of all relevant electrical legislation, ensuring current procedures/systems within the business comply with relevant policy and legislation.

Working closely with projects and business hubs throughout the South East you will provide technical expertise and support, educating the business on regulatory compliance objectives, obligations and adherence with electrical aspects of our ISO management system.

A key part of your role is to lead on the continuous development and implementation of audit processes to ensure we are fully compliant with both legislative and internal policies, resulting in no regulatory and system failures.

 

About You

You will have a detailed knowledge of inspection, installation and testing in domestic and preferably commercial settings, together with an understanding of the issues affecting a reactive and planned repairs / maintenance business. You will be confident in identifying opportunities for challenging and mentoring direct and sub-contractor employees and project management.

Our successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a construction, housing related environment with supervisory experience preferable, but not essential.

You will:

  • Be educated to City & Guild 2360 or equivalent, C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing and C&G 2381 current wiring regulations (essential)
  • C&G 2400 Design would be advantageous
  • Have knowledge of technical and regulatory codes of practice (essential)
  • Have excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills (essential)
  • Be an excellent written and verbal communicator (essential)

Hours of work are: 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4.30am Friday.
