Role: Carpenter (Service Engineer)

Salary: £ 24,000 per annum + generous benefits

Based: Gloucester

Our main areas of expertise include: building management systems, day-to-day responsive repairs, facilities management, void property refurbishments, insurance activity, programmed maintenance, and electrical and gas installations, servicing and repairs.

 

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Carpenter (Service engineer) to join our team based in Gloucester. Reporting to the Project Supervisor, the role will require you to carry out works specified by surveyors. Properties vary from houses to sheltered accommodation rooms.

The position includes a company van, fuel card, uniform and phone. All training is provided to help you do the job to the best of your ability.

Hours of work are 42.5hrs per week 8:00am until 5pm Monday to Friday. You may be asked to work weekends from time to time to assist with the workloads. It is not mandatory.

 

About You

You should be a customer focused individual, experienced in working in the social housing sector. A passion for completing a high quality repair on time and at the first visit.

Although not essential having the following qualifications would be advantageous:

  • Level 1 Award in Basic Construction Skills.
  • Level 1 Award in Wood Operations.
  • Level 2 (NVQ) Certificate / Diploma in Wood Occupations.
  • Level 2 Diploma in Construction Crafts (carpentry and joinery)
  • Level 2 Diploma in Site Carpentry.

You must have your own tools & basic power kit to be considered for this role, all larger items will be issued to you.
