Job Title: Plumber (Multi-Skilled Engineer)

Salary: £21,000 - £ 23,500 Dependant on experience

Based: Castle Douglas, Stranraer & the surrounding areas

Our main areas of expertise include: building management systems, day-to-day responsive repairs, facilities management, void property refurbishments, insurance activity, programmed maintenance, and electrical and gas installations, servicing and repairs.

Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS) is a modern maintenance organisation delivering repair services to 10,500 homes across the Dumfries and Galloway Region. We are actively growing our organisation and are looking for a highly skilled and enthusiastic Plumber with additional skills to deliver a first class repairs service across a variety of our properties in Castle Douglas, Stranraer and the surrounding areas. 

You will need to use your specialist knowledge and customer service experience to assist us in making a real difference to the lives of our customers. You should help us to achieve a high level of first time fix carrying out quality repairs and delivering excellent customer service.

The position includes a company van, fuel card, uniform and PDA all training is provided to help you do the job to the best of your ability.

 

About You

You will be a fully skilled tradesperson with a core trade background in plumbing, be proficient in secondary trades and carry out repairs to the highest standards. You should be a customer focused individual, experienced in working in occupied properties with a passion for completing a high quality repair on time and at the first visit.

You will be required to carry out the full range of general maintenance and refurbishment work to occupied and vacant properties whilst ensuring that Health and Safety procedures and safe working practices are adhered to at all times.

As a minimum you should have an excellent working H&S knowledge and in date training certs in: Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, Manual Handling.

An in date CSCS card, PASMA / TETRA would be desirable but not essential.

You must hold a valid UK driving licence as a company vehicle will be provided (work use only). 

You will also be prepared to work as part of a standby team in a rota system to provide continuous support and service to our client and customers
