Introduction    MSPS provides an outsourced managed service for land/topographical, measured building, laser scanning and underground utility surveying. 

The Managed Service is designed to align with the RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) guidance for measured survey of land, buildings and utilities. 

We require an Assistant/Trainee Surveyor to work within our current surveying team, based on our clients’ site(s).

Job/Role Purpose:    A member of the Professional Services Framework Team reporting to and supporting the Survey Team.  Responsibility for providing measured survey of land, buildings and utilities.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities 

  • Assist in carrying out land, measured building, laser scanning and underground utility surveys.
  • Support Survey Team on a day to day basis on a variety of surveys.
  • Work to clients’ specifications and standards.
  • Understand and apply responsibilities with regard to the Company’s Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards.

Qualifications:      

5 GCSE’s minimum including English & Maths Grade C or above with Geography desirable. Equivalent qualification/experience in a survey related field also considered.

Knowledge & Experience:

 

Assistant Surveyor -

  •  Knowledge of survey equipment such as Theodolite/Total Station, Digital Level and Laser Scanners would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Understanding of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) in relation to survey and relevant data types.
  • Relevant construction or survey experience in land and building surveying, with experience of utilities surveying desirable.
  • Keen to develop your existing skills and further your career in surveying within an established team.
  • Interest in land survey and the measured world with potentially some site experience, whether through work placement or perhaps from experience gained on a construction site or project.
  • Full training and support would be given to the ideal candidate to develop your career in surveying and become a valued member of the team.

Special Requirements:

  • Nationality: UK Nationals only (no dual citizenship)
  • Security Clearance: Candidate will be required to reach SC Minimum
  • To be fit and able to work on a nuclear licensed site
  • Full UK driving license preferable but not necessary
