Activities range from small works and repair and maintenance, to the design and delivery of complex construction and engineering projects where it is able to provide specialist design, tunnelling, utilities, building, civil engineering and mechanical and electrical services. The company operates across the commercial, defence, education, energy, healthcare, industrial, leisure, retail, transport and water markets.
As an Industrial Placement within our business, you will be involved in many aspects of quantity surveying to assist you in gaining valuable experience. Some key responsibilities will include:
- Developing effective working relationships with members of the project teams
- Understanding risk and identifying implications of actions taken
- Assisting in subcontract management
Our Placement Programme
We offer 12 month industrial placements to students looking for a year in industry as part of their degree. The programme has been designed to give you the best possible exposure to our business. During the year you will be involved in some or all of the following areas, depending on your discipline:
- Contract planning
- Engineering
- Preconstruction
- Quantity Surveying/Commercial
- Safety, Health & Environment
- Site Management
- Tender Planning
