Role: Multi Skilled Engineer (Bricklaying bias)

Salary: £ 25,000 per annum

Based: Cardiff

Type: Full time, Fixed Term Contract (12 weeks)

Morgan Sindall Property Services is the newly created service division of the £2 billion Morgan Sindall Group.  We work with a wide variety of public and private sector clients and specialise in the full range of facility management and responsive repair and maintenance activity. Our main areas of expertise include: building management systems, day-to-day responsive repairs, facilities management, void property refurbishments, insurance activity, programmed maintenance, and electrical and gas installations, servicing and repairs. 

About The Role

The purpose of this role is to deliver first class repairs, with a strong focus on customer service. Working from a PDA, you will a qualified or time served bricklayer carrying out repairs to private properties, along with other minor repairs (including basic plastering, tiling and painting) as part of a team of engineers carrying out various repairs across the Cardiff area.

You should help us to achieve a high level of first time fix carrying out quality repairs and delivering excellent customer service.

The position includes a company van, fuel card, uniform and PDA, all training is provided to help you do the job to the best of your ability.

About You

You will be a fully skilled tradesperson with a core trade background in bricklaying, be proficient in secondary trades and carry out repairs to the highest standards. You should be a customer focused individual, experienced in working in occupied properties with a passion for completing a high quality repair on time and at the first visit.

As a minimum you should be a certificated, qualified bricklayer.

An excellent working H&S knowledge and in date training certs in:

  • Asbestos Awareness          
  • Working at Height
  • Manual Handling

You will need a full UK driving licence for this position.
