Who are we?

Major Projects, based in London, delivers commercial refurbishment and traditional fit out projects, ranging from £5m to £100m within the M25, as well as carefully selected projects outside the M25 over £10m. Managing director John Baker and his experienced team, which consists of 110 people, work on an interesting mix of flagship projects. Clients include KPMG, PwC, Barclays, Mishon de Reya, Shell, RBS, AON and the Canadian High Commission. The team prides itself on its’ collaborative approach, repeat business ethos and ensuring that clients are always put first.

What will you be doing?

  • Support site set up. Support condition surveys and validations. Create induction materials
  • Build / develop client and sub-contractor relationships. Support client, professional team walk-rounds. Manage u relationships.
  • Review sub-contractor documentation. Identify risks and opportunities. Understand full sub-contractor operations of each work package. Support the development of the construction phase design and plan
  • Manage site induction
  • Support delivery of the build. Manage all day to day activity; samples, deliveries, works underway and administration
  • Liaise with design team. Support design workshops. Manage design with the design team
  • Delegate, communicate, manage relationships, define roles and responsibilities
  • Forecast, plan and communicate. Develop detailed programmes for areas of responsibility
  • Maintain checks; Quality, H&S, Environment, waste, security, welfare.
  • Risk management. Problem solving - Solve problems-resolve issues-make fast accurate decisions
  • Ensure quality benchmarks are set and maintained. Ensure the highest quality of H&S management on site
  • Manage and understand work package interfaces to identify risk
  • Close out and snagging
  • Ensure site is cleared efficiently and in compliance with all environmental guidelines
  • Review O&M’s for packages under your control
