Opportunity:
We have a fantastic opportunity within our Infrastructure business for an ambitious and talented Senior Planner.
The successful candidate will be joining the existing team of passionate and dedicated employees working on the Huntingdon & Woodwalton 4th Track work on the East Coast Mainline.
We are looking for Senior Planners who have a wealth of knowledge in the Civils and Rail market, and are excited about working on new and existing projects.
As an experienced senior planner you will be educated to professional level with a relevant degree or equivalent in a core business discipline and you will have extensive experience in programme and project management, project planning, including programme controls, project review, and cost and risk analysis. You will have the ability to plan construction works from first principles, preferably with experience in multi discipline major projects and you will have extensive site experience on business related projects in a management or supervisory capacity. The works will involve earthworks, retaining structures, piling and structures close to the busy rail corridor. Experience of working with Primavera P6 software is essential.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on an exciting Civils project and lead the project delivery.
We can potentially consider certain types of flexible working in this role for the right candidate, subject to meeting business needs.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Planner manager you will:
- provide planning management and support to the pre-contract and contract operations
- coordinate with bid and construction teams to manage and control the planning and programming aspects of bid proposals
- produce, manage, and update the construction programme and its communication to customers and stakeholders.
- manage and incorporate change events into the construction programme
- jointly with the commercial team, secure full entitlement under the contract
Already experienced as Senior Planner you will be educated to professional level with a relevant degree or equivalent in a core business discipline. You will have good management skills, with the ability to motivate yourself and colleagues to achieve high standards of compliance as well as good operational planning and time management skills.
About the Project:
The duration of the contract is 3-years and the Huntingdon part of the framework is valued at about £40M in a framework which is just over a £100M, which includes the Werrington Grade Separation (Diveunder the East Coast Mainline).
