Role: Operations Engineer (Labourer/ Cleaner)

Salary: £ 18,500 per annum

Based: Cardiff, Wales

We work with a wide variety of public and private sector clients and specialise in the full range of facility management and responsive repair and maintenance activity. Our main areas of expertise include: building management systems, day-to-day responsive repairs, facilities management, void property refurbishments, insurance activity, programmed maintenance, and electrical and gas installations, servicing and repairs.

 

About The Role

The purpose of this role is to carry out various site duties under the guidance of the Project Manager, to a range of predominately social housing properties in and around the Cardiff area. You will assist the team to provide an efficient labouring service to both void and occupied properties. You will be able to produce work to a high standard and ensure that it’s carried out in accordance with Health & Safety procedures at all times.   

Main duties will be;

  • Assisting trades
  • Assisting the Project Manager
  • Preparing job sites, setting up and taking down ladders
  • Keeping the properties clean and tidy whilst we are working
  • Using power tools & holding and other equipment & machinery
  • Building temporary structures
  • Provide a delivery and collection service as required by the Project Manager
  • Planning, co-ordinating and undertake delivery of materials to and from projects

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have experience of working on sites ideally in the social housing market. The ideal candidate should demonstrate stamina, physical strength, attention to safety and detail as well as good time management. You will be reliable with a positive attitude to work, a willingness to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.   Attention to Health and Safety procedures is paramount.

You will have excellent communication and customer service skills whilst being committed to providing a responsive customer orientated service.

You must have a full UK Driving Licence to be considered for this role.

Candidates must have the following certification: CSCS Card, Asbestos Awareness and Working at Heights accreditation.
