Opportunity:
We have a fantastic opportunity within our Construction business for an ambitious and talented Finacial Controller.
The successful candidate will be joining the existing team of passionate and dedicated professionals.
We are looking for financial controllers who have a wealth of knowledge in the main contracting market.
Experience of working on Educational, Healthcare, Leisure or Defence schemes between £5 and £20 million is an advantage.
We are looking for people who share our passion for the project at hand whilst also being able to work within a fun and hardworking team environment.
Responsibilities:
As a financial controller you will:
- Produce monthly management accounts, forecasts and information monitoring the various aspects of the business unit's performance within the specified timescales
- Develop a customer focused approach to the internal customer base
- Challenge and develop processes and procedures in place, ensuring the maintenance of an effective and efficient control environment
- Preparation of trial balance, monthly management accounts and other associated reports
- Control and maintain the balance sheet, ensuring good quality, robust reconciliations are prepared for all balances
- Preparation and submission of annual budgets
- Preparation and submission of weekly cash flow forecasts
- Ensure the integrity of the business unit's ledgers and associated systems
About the Construction East Anglia Team:
The Construction East Anglia team deliver projects across the Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire geographical area. Ranging from £250k special works projects, to major projects in excess of £50 million, the business delivers exciting schemes across both the private and public sectors. As current incumbents on all the counties Local Authority frameworks, the business has a large range of strong opportunities across the next three to four years. Our strategic aim to become the contractor of choice on this framework is helping to steadily grow the business backbone, whilst key opportunities in the competitive and private sector marketplaces enable us to retain a presence in all of the major sectors. With offices in Cambridge, Norwich and Ipswich, we are strategically placed to deliver our diverse portfolio of work across in every area within the region.
