Role definition

Summary of role

Manage the coordination and operational actives of all supply interruptions on the contract

Responsibilities and accountabilities

Fully manage the Supply Interruptions team

To coordinate the water supply interruptions on the contract

To review and verify all required paperwork

To manage the supply interruptions customer warning letters

To lead, guide and mentor a team of circa eight people within supply interruptions

To coordinate the supply interruptions for Capital works and Special Projects

To manage the supply interruption teams daily work schedule

To pre plan all water supply interruptions

To manage the card warning of all affected properties within the required timescales

To work alongside our planning department to develop a clear understanding of TMA notice dates and required supply interruption dates

To build a working relationship with STW staff

To lead / attend any relevant meetings to do with supply interruptions.

To attend the weekly operations / planning meeting

To review and verify all required paperwork to the correct standard and within timescales

Qualifications, training and technical knowledge

A working knowledge of supply interruptions would be beneficial

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

Knowledge of Morgan Sindall customer care systems and procedures beneficial

Attributes and skills

Ability to work in a team environment contributing across a project, site or area

Good supervision skills, with the ability to motivate self and small teams to perform specific tasks

Good planning and time management skills

Ability to contribute to meeting standards and specifications

Ability to work well either alone or as part of a team

Sound knowledge of construction practises and standards within their subject

Specialist knowledge in chosen field

Good writing, analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Ability to handle situations and problems

Know when to ask for help and guidance
