Opportunity: 

We have a fantastic opportunity within our Construction & Infrastructure business for an ambitious and talented Maintenance Technician at our Ridham PreCast Facility. 

The successful candidate will be joining the existing team of passionate and dedicated professionals. 

The role is to support the manufacturing operation at Ridham Precast. Carrying out defined tasks within the company Planned Preventative Maintenance system and reactive breakdown / fault finding tasks. The person will receive tasks and guidance from a more senior technician but will be expected to work autonomously most of the time. Experience working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of automated machinery, both electrical and mechanical aspects would be advantageous, as well as strong fault finding skills. Experience working with PLC controlled equipment would be an advantage, along with Welding skills.

We are looking for a multi-Skilled maintenance technician working in a factory environment manufacturing large scale concrete products. Role will be shift work covering two shifts - an early shift and a late day shift. Occasional weekend overtime (Paid).

Responsibilities: 

As a Maintenance Technician you will:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Provide rapid breakdown maintenance for a highly automated factory production process.
  • Carry out repairs on Electrical and Mechanical systems.
  • Operate and maintain steam raising plant.
  • Carry out plant and process isolations for maintenance and cleaning tasks.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the relevant safety and environmental policies and procedures. 

Already experienced as a Maintenance Technician, you will ideally be apprentice trained, either as a multi-skilled technician or as a single trade with a conversion course or relevant experience. You will hold a formal Electrical qualification (IEE 16/17th Edition. etc.) and ideally HNC/HND/BTEC in a relevant subject.
