GROUNDS MAINTENANCE ENGINEER  

Fixed Term contract

Salary: £21,800

 

Based: North East England- Newcastle

Morgan Sindall Property Services is the newly created service division of the £2 billion Morgan Sindall Group. We work with a wide variety of public and private sector clients and specialise in the full range of facility management and responsive repair and maintenance activity. Our main areas of expertise include: building management systems, day-to-day responsive repairs, facilities management, void property refurbishments, insurance activity, programmed maintenance, and electrical and gas installations, servicing and repairs.

 

About The Role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Engineer to join our North East contract in Newcastle. Reporting to the Project Supervisor, the role will require you to carry out day to day Grounds Maintenance in line with contract specifications to the gardens and communal areas within the schemes. In addition you will be expected to assist the team with small building works as a multi skilled engineer as and when required.

You should help us to maintain and exceed the high standards of landscaping and gardening throughout all seasons of the year ensuring excellent customer service to residents and our partners on the schemes.

The position includes a company van, fuel card, uniform and PDA, all training is provided to help you do the job to the best of your ability.

Hours of work are 40hrs per week between 7:00am and 9:00pm Monday to Friday

About You

You should be a customer focused individual, experienced in working in and around occupied properties with a passion for landscaping and gardening.

As a minimum you should have:

Experience in Grounds Maintenance and Commercial Gardening

NVQ Level 2 Qualification in Horticulture

City and Guilds PA1 to PA6 Pesticides and Spraying or equivalent

Be able to evidence competency in caring for plants, treatment of grounds, use of equipment

Full driving licence and if test date is after 1997 you will require Towing Test certification.

 

Although not essential having the following qualifications would be advantageous

PASMA                                    IPAF
