Opportunity:

We have a fantastic opportunity within our Aviation business for an ambitious and talented Systems Integrator within the Q6 Framework at Heathrow Airport. 

The successful candidate will be joining the existing team of around 200 employees who are passionate and dedicated. 

We are looking for a Project Manager - Systems who will manage & oversee the System Integration aspects of the Heathrow Cargo Tunnel Refurbishment project. We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Systems Integrator to provide expert advice and assurance to the systems elements of the design as they progress. This role requires strong technical background in a systems & controls environment ideally gained within an Airport or other similarly complex operational environment. The successful applicant will be a team member used to working within multi company collaborative projects.

Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager - Systems you will be:

  • Ability to work in a team environment contributing across a project, site or area
  • Good management skills, with the ability to motivate self and colleagues to perform
  • Good planning and time management skills; able to manage activities simultaneously within compromising on standards and quality
  • Ability to ensure standards and specifications are met
  • Ability to work with colleagues to contribute to project and operational performance
  • Experience in the analysis and documentation of systems engineering and assurance works and processes from Feasibility and Design to Implementation and Client Handover.
  • Lead activity of service delivery in accordance with ISO/IEC 15288.
  • Understanding of Systems Assurance processes and requirements (i.e. EN 50126/8/9)
  • Specialist expertise in a related systems field.
  • System Integration and interface management experience of complex schemes within operational environments
  • Experience of Verification and Validation
  • Experience of developing system specifications (e.g. Performance, Functional, Architecture, Interface)
  • Experience of technical risk management.
  • Experience of requirements management and configuration management tools and processes
  • Knowledge of system approval processes and bodies.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent verbal/ written communication (interfacing with non-specialist technical team members);
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative environment involving the client and flexible enough to carry out any tasks required to complete, review and accept Systems Engineering deliverables

 

Already experienced in a similar role, you will hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) and be a Chartered Engineer (or equivalent)

Morgan Sindall is 1 of 4 Delivery Integrators working at Heathrow Airport within the Q6 Framework.  Our works are focused around the Airside / Landside Lot and cover a large portfolio of projectors working at Heathrow Airport within the Q6 Framework.  Our works are focused around the Airside / Landside Lot and cover a large portfolio of projects that include civil engineering, mechanical and electrical and building works throughout the footprint of Heathrow Airport.  We have a long history of successfully delivering works at Heathrow Airport and our reputation has been founded upon this.  We have over 200 employees, including a direct labour force delivering these projects and a well-developed and trusted supply chain.  We have a plan for long term growth year on year and this is underpinned by our recruitment programme, including experienced managers, a graduate recruitment process and also strengthening of our self-performing capabilities through investment in apprentices.  Looking forwards there is even greater opportunities at Heathrow Airport within the next expansion plans and further afield the 3rd runway development.
