Role: Quantity Surveyor
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 plus car/car allowance
Location: Barking & Dagenham

Our main areas of expertise include: building management systems, day-to-day responsive repairs, facilities management, void property refurbishments, insurance activity, programmed maintenance, and electrical and gas installations, servicing and repairs.
About The Role
The purpose of the role is to manage the day to day financial, cost control, reporting and commercial performance of planned works on a social housing contract based in Barking & Dagenham.
You will be responsible for the effective commercial management of all allocated projects including provision of timely and accurate documentation in accordance with the Surveying timetable, in particular Monthly Cost/Value Reports, all elemental reconciliations, cash flow forecasts, etc.
You will also take the lead to establish appropriate targets/rates and re-measurement/evaluation of subcontractor/labour only/direct labour outputs.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record in a Quantity Surveying / commercial role, particularly within the property services or similar related industry. You will have experience of leading the commercial function and demonstrate effective cash management of the project.
You will have experience of working on and pricing planned projects.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills and deliver effective interaction with all members of the project team. You will have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with the client, employer’s representative and supply chain.
You may have experience of the following: Quantity Surveying, Commercial lead, Cost planning, Commercial Management, Contract administration, Property Services, Facility Management, Construction, Building Management Systems, Procurement, Risk Management, Task Management IT systems.
