Responsibilities:

As a technical co-ordinator you will:

  • Implement the risk and opportunity management plan at strategic and programme level.
  • Support the identification and recording of new risks and opportunities in formal workshops with ISA stakeholders.
  • Undertake monthly update workshops with risk owners and mitigation action owners to ensure that current risk and opportunity status is understood.
  • Produce dashboards periodically to illustrate the current risk and opportunity exposure at ‘programme’ and ‘strategic’ levels.
  • Maintain and update the risk and opportunity management plan; which is a component of the ISA collaborative management plan.
  • Implement the risk and opportunity management plan at strategic and programme level.
  • Support the identification and recording of new risks and opportunities in formal workshops with ISA stakeholders.
  • Undertake monthly update workshops with risk owners and mitigation action owners to ensure that current risk and opportunity status is understood.
  • Prepare and issue risk and opportunity dashboards to summarise and communicate the current status / risk exposure levels at programme and strategic levels to appropriate project stakeholders.
  • Liaise with wider SL functions to assist in the development of processes and synchronisation of data sources related to asset risk reduction.
  • Contribute to the development of process maps, management plans, and supporting procedures to drive consistency into the ISA risk and opportunity management approach.
  • Proactively facilitate the identification and development of actions to mitigate ‘active’ risks, providing recommendations and support to the risk owners and the mitigation owners.
  • Maintain the risk and opportunity data via periodic reviews with risk and opportunity owners and track performance in completion of all agreed mitigation actions

As technical coordinator – risk and opportunity you will support the ISA performance manager and alliance management group in the on-going management and monitoring of ‘programme’ and ‘strategic’ level risk and opportunity to assess and identify risks and opportunities that have the potential to damage or enhance reputation, security, financial position, and so on. To identify key areas for improvement and best practice to ensure client objectives are met.

The ISA is an integrated team which consists of three delivery partners; Sellafield Limited, Morgan Sindall and Arup. Working in joint venture with Arup, Morgan Sindall is responsible for a £1.1 billion long term contract to provide essential infrastructure assets to the Sellafield Ltd site.
