Opportunity: 

We have a fantastic opportunity within our Construction & Infrastructure business for an ambitious and talented Document Controller to work within our Major Projects team within the LUL Framework. 

The successful candidate will be joining the existing team of passionate and dedicated professionals. Working with our Infrastructure business, knowledge of document control is a must. 

The role will involve setting up, managing and maintaining project document control systems in line with company, customer and project. As a Document Controller for Morgan Sindall, you will be experienced in using electronic document management systems and have an ability to keep clear, accurate records and reports. The ability to rapidly input data and retrieve records and information is essential.

The Project: 

The Acton Train Modification unit is to be constructed for LU in their existing depot in West London. This is a Design and Build project to be delivered within the LU Framework Agreement. The facility will include a twin span portal building 160m x 50m constructed over the existing sidings. This will accommodate 4 rail tracks and pitted roads to undertake the maintenance and modification works of the LU Rolling Stock. Commissioning and handover to LU Operations will be part of the delivery requirements. The contract is 18 months duration and is to be fully operational in 2019 for the refurbishment of the Central Line Fleet

Responsibilities: 

As a Document Controller you will:

  • Archive, retrieve and store documentation adhering to company standards and policies
  • Check that all information complies with specified company formats, templates and standards
  • Assist the document control team with the issue, receipt and tracking of all engineering and supplier deliverables through to close out and handover stage
  • Assist with quality checks and audits of document databases, identifying and correcting any anomalies
  • Endorse the corporate content management system ensuring business system continuity is met

 

The right applicant will have knowledge in the use of 4 Projects and be educated to NVQ level or equivalent.
