Opportunity:

We have a fantastic opportunity within our Aviation business for an ambitious and talented Trainer within the Q6 Framework at Heathrow Airport. 

The successful candidate will be joining the existing team of around 200 employees who are passionate and dedicated. 

We are looking for Trainers who will be responsible for training Morgan Sindall Aviation employees. Trainers will be responsible for the design, delivery and continuous improvement of training programmes, with the ability to manage their own workload within the context of a wider business or company objective.

Responsibilities:

As a Trainer you will:

  • Create and maintain a positive and professional learning environment
  • Must be a leader that sets the standard and expectations through example in his/her conduct, work ethic, integrity and character
  • Able to deliver, project and motivate trainees through effective training methodologies both in group and individual classroom dynamics
  • Manage the design, delivery and continuous improvement of training programmes as well as on-going learning opportunities across the organisation, in support of the organisation’s needs.
  • Utilise a variety of the training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of training programs
  • Conduct specific training needs assessments to support the design, development and delivery of business training programmes and strategies
  • Monitor and measure effectiveness of all training programmes
  • Partner with individual departments to outline deliverables, expectations and risks, to include specific training needs for staff
  • Discharge the duties outlined in Heathrow Airport Limited Airside Driving Standards
  • Proactively work with the Management team to identify and resolve issues
  • Create high quality deliverables within budget and policy deadlines
  • Actively participate in progressive disciplinary process for employees not able to meet or maintain standards of excellence
  • Maintain records of Training and Airside Driving Permit Holders
  • Carry out regular audits of supplier Airside Driving standards
  • Manage training budget effectively, if applicable
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested 

As an experienced Trainer you will have recognised teaching qualifications such as ‘Preparing to Teach’ in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) (6302). The right applicant will have Extensive experience of working within the Airport environment, which can be evidenced and Up-to-date knowledge of significant Airport legislation, standards and best practice techniques.

About the Heathrow Team:

Morgan Sindall is 1 of 4 Delivery Integrators working at Heathrow Airport within the Q6 Framework.  Our works are focused around the Airside / Landside Lot and cover a large portfolio of projectors working at Heathrow Airport within the Q6 Framework.  Our works are focused around the Airside / Landside Lot and cover a large portfolio of projects that include civil engineering, mechanical and electrical and building works throughout the footprint of Heathrow Airport.  We have a long history of successfully delivering works at Heathrow Airport and our reputation has been founded upon this.  We have over 200 employees, including a direct labour force delivering these projects and a well-developed and trusted supply chain.  We have a plan for long term growth year on year and this is underpinned by our recruitment programme, including experienced managers, a graduate recruitment process and also strengthening of our self-performing capabilities through investment in apprentices.  Looking forwards there is even greater opportunities at Heathrow Airport within the next expansion plans and further afield the 3rd runway development.
