Job Title: Gas Engineer   

Salary: £35,000 dependant on experience 

Based: Westminster

 

Morgan Sindall Property Services is the service division of the £2 billion Morgan Sindall Group.  We work with a wide variety of public and private sector clients and specialise in the full range of facility management and responsive repair and maintenance activity. Our main areas of expertise include: building management systems, day-to-day responsive repairs, facilities management, void property refurbishments, insurance activity, programmed maintenance, and electrical and gas installations, servicing and repairs.

 

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Gas Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Team Leader, the role will require you to carry out day to day repairs, fault finding, installs and annual servicing to both domestic and commercial gas appliances.

You should help us to achieve a high level of first time fix carrying out quality repairs and delivering excellent customer service. 

The position includes a company van, fuel card, uniform and a tablet and training is provided to help you do the job to the best of your ability.

Hours of work are 42.5hrs per week 8:00am until 17:30pm Monday to Friday, with an hour lunch break each day, plus a requirement to cover Out of Hours call outs on a one in three week rota basis.

 

About You

You should be a customer focused individual, experienced within social housing working in both occupied and void properties with a passion for completing a high quality repair on time and at the first visit.

You will have experience in a Gas Engineer role & will have experience in servicing, fault finding, breakdowns, repairs and full boiler & heating installations, including all making good.

 

As a minimum you should have the following competencies:

CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CKR1, G3 (unvented hot water), IGE/up/1a or IGE/up/1

Part L (energy efficiency).

 

Although not essential having the following qualifications would be advantageous:

Knowledge of underfloor heating systems, power flushing experience, commercial gas qualification and water regulations.

 

It would also be beneficial but not necessary that you have the following certifications; Part P, TETRA, Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height and Manual Handling.
