Opportunity:
We have a fantastic opportunity within our Construction & Infrastructure business for an ambitious and talented Works Manager to work in our Rail & Electrification team within the LUL Framework.
The successful candidate will be joining the existing team of passionate and dedicated professionals. Working with our Infrastructure business, knowledge of Rail / LU experience is required.
As a Works Manager you will be responsible for the coordination and safe management of all operational site activities ensuring Perfect Delivery, SHEQ, programme and budget requirements are met.

The Project:
A joint venture between Morgan Sindall and BeMo Tunnelling has been awarded a place on London Underground’s ‘Future Stations’ Civils and Tunnelling Works framework. The eight-year framework is anticipated to be worth £350 million.
The successful joint venture was awarded a place on all three procurement lots – Lot 1 (Civils), Lot 2 (Tunnelling) and Lot 3 (Civils and Tunnelling).
The framework is part of London Underground’s plans to upgrade its stations – including Camden, Elephant and Castle and Paddington. Work packages will include the construction of new station entrances, ticket halls and platforms including associated tunnelling and shaft works.
Responsibilities:
As a Works Manager you will:
- Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
- Plan, coordinate and/or supervise activities of all company personnel on assigned project(s)
- Ensure all company, customer and project policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to
- Provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
- Ensure the coordination of and communication between all parts of the operation team including suppliers, subcontractors, engineering, SHEQ and customer teams
Already experienced in a similar role, you will hold a relevant CSCS card and have a sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
