JOB TITLE:

Document Controller

 

DESCRIPTIVE TEXT

We are looking for a hardworking and committed Document Controller to work on our prestigious scheme at the Army rebasing SFA Scheme at Salisbury Plain, based as our Ludgershall Office.

Working closely alongside and reporting to the Technical Manager the role will ensure that Lovell carries out its contractual responsibilities for the co-ordination/update of construction details/drawings and manages flow of design information. You will be required to monitor workflow sign off schedules and encourage and ensure the 4Projects and Project plus database is fully utilised.

The accountabilities and responsibilities:

·         Checking quality of documents

·         Setting up project filing systems

·         Working to stringent deadlines

·         Control all aspects of project documentation on multiple simultaneous projects, utilising various control methods/systems

·         Prepare, operate and update Document Control Procedures in line with the Company’s Document Management System

·         Ensure proper document control support is given to each project.

·         Produce and maintain Document Progress Reports to Project Managers

·         Ensure all documentation provided is as per Client quality formatting requirements. Formatting may include correcting templates, fonts and style, pagination and numbering and other activities that may be required to achieve a client’s documentation requirements

·         Create Document Control and correspondence folders for individual projects

·         Work in strict co-operation with the Technical Manager/Project Managers to ensure project progress status integration

·         Ensure all templates used with the department conform to the Company standard

Skills and experience required:

·         4Projects and an internal web based document control system (Project Plus) or similar

  • Proven ability of keeping drawing registers and drawing files (both electronic files and hard copies) up to date
  • Issuing drawings to site and various sub-contractors
  • Keeping maintenance and security of the system up to date with a shared client database

·         Excellent communicator with all internal and external customers

·         Self-directed and highly-motivated

·         Able to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment

·         Detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy

·         Excellent MS Suite software knowledge

·         Good working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat

·         Familiar with e-Document management systems

·         Understanding and previous application of BIM Level 2 including the relevant PAS and BS compliance standards, EIR’s and BEP’s

Preferable

·         Working knowledge of and application of Auto Cad
