We are currently recruiting for a talented, motivated and ambitious project engineer – mechanical/commisioning to join our growing team in Whitehaven.

As a project engineer - mechanical/ commisioning you will provide support and input to the mechanical engineering solutions to projects through pre-contract, construction and aftercare phases.

You will be responsible for reviewing, challenging and developing mechanical concept designs for build ability and cost effectiveness.  You will also lead and support the preparation of enquiries for plant, materials and services and recommend the most economically advantageous solution for inclusion in the project scope. 

The role will involve working as part of an alliance eam to deliver the mechanical commisioning elements of multi disciplined projects and the complete scope of mechanically biased tasks. This will be inclusive of the production of commisioning documentation and risk assessments and carrying out hands on commisioning activities.

As a project engineer – mechanical/ commisioning you will hold a BTEC HNC in mechanical engineering, or equivalent. You will also be able to evidence experience in materials, subcontract letting and subcontract management.
