Role: Service Engineer (Multi Skilled Carpenter)

Salary: £25,000 - £29,000

Based: Basildon

 

Morgan Sindall Property Services is the newly created service division of the £2 billion Morgan Sindall Group.  We work with a wide variety of public and private sector clients and specialise in the full range of facility management and responsive repair and maintenance activity. Our main areas of expertise include: building management systems, day-to-day responsive repairs, facilities management, void property refurbishments, insurance activity, programmed maintenance, and electrical and gas installations, servicing and repairs.

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our contract based in Basildon. Reporting to the Team Leader, you should be an experienced carpenter but also be able to undertake multi skilled duties regarding the full range of repairs, maintenance and associated activities from conception through to completion

You will deliver work that meets the project requirements, customer satisfaction, SHEQ standards and in accordance with Morgan Sindall standards.

All team members are expected to contribute to the delivery of excellent operational performance and championing a ‘perfect delivery’ service.  This will require building relationships with both directly employed and subcontracted resources, ensuring with the goal to deliver cost effective, high quality customer focussed outputs.

 

About You

You should have proven training and qualifications in carpentry, you should be a customer focused individual, experienced in working in the social housing sector and a passion for completing a high quality repair on time and at the first visit.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and deliver effective interaction with all internal and external stakeholders.  You will have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders and ensure best practice prevails throughout the contract.

Adherence to Health and Safety Standards set by the company in accordance with other regulatory bodies will be of paramount importance to you.

Naturally, you will hold the relevant trade qualifications associated with your specialisms.
