Summary of role

Work with engineering professionals at the concept, design and construction stages of a civil engineering project.  Learn to develop 2D and 3D Computer Aided Draughting (CAD) and Building Information Models (BIM), which can be developed into full working drawings for site engineers to construct from. Use your technical ability and learning of CAD software to help identify potential solutions to civil engineering problems. Interpret engineering information from design calculations to produce clear drawings and information suitable for the construction of large scale underground engineering schemes.

Our training scheme offers on the job training plus day-release college attendance to pursue an appropriate qualification

Qualifications and skills required:                     

Suitable applicants should have a minimum of a Grade C GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English. You should also possess the minimum qualifications to enable you to obtain a place on an agreed part time course at a local college or university. Strong mathematical skills and good spatial awareness would also be an advantage for this position.
