Description

DESCRIPTIVE TEXT

We are looking for a hardworking and committed Technical Co-Ordinator to work on our prestigious scheme at the Army rebasing SFA Scheme at Salisbury Plain, based as our Ludgershall Office.

Working closely alongside and reporting to the Technical Manager the role will ensure that Lovell carries out its contractual responsibilities for the co-ordination/update of construction details/drawings and manages flow of design information. You will be required to monitor workflow sign off schedules and encourage and ensure the 4Projects and Project plus database is fully utilised. Taking a hands on role for producing design requirements of multiple projects at any one time.

As you will be producing the technical drawings for projects, you need to be competent in using AutoCAD. You will attend design meetings, to ensure that the production of technical information is progressing correctly and you will need to be confident in liaising with subcontractors to ensure that any subcontract drawings are reviewed accurately.

As a Technical Co-Ordinator you will also need to be familiar with the content of the planning approved packages to include Section 106 & Section 38 obligations, drawings, statements and schedules regarding the features of the sites. You MUST also be up to date on current UK Building Regulations and NHBC Standards.

The accountabilities and responsibilities:

·         Fully CAD qualified

·         Full knowledge of UK building regulations

·         Able to demonstrate knowledge of the full build process

·         Contract administration experience

·         Working to stringent deadlines

·         Produce and maintain Document Progress Reports to Project Managers

·         Ensure all documentation provided is as per Client quality formatting requirements. Formatting may include correcting templates, fonts and style, pagination and numbering and other activities that may be required to achieve a client’s documentation requirements

·         Work in strict co-operation with the Technical Manager/Project Managers to ensure project progress status integration

 

Skills and experience required:

·         4Projects and an internal web based document control system (Project Plus) or similar

  • Proven ability of keeping drawing registers and drawing files (both electronic files and hard copies) up to date
  • Proven ability and experience of AutoCAD
  • Issuing drawings to site and various sub-contractors

·         Excellent communicator with all internal and external customers

·         Self-directed and highly-motivated

·         Able to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment

·         Detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy

·         Excellent MS Suite software knowledge

·         Good working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat

·         Understanding and previous application of BIM Level 2 including the relevant PAS and BS compliance standards, EIR’s and BEP’s
