Our North West & North Wales region are recruiting for a Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor. The successful applicant will be involved in a range of high profile projects, including a variety of design and build, new build construction works and refurbishment projects, working with some of the largest social housing providers in the North West and North Wales region.

At Lovell we work with local authorities and housing associations to create sustainable communities and leave a positive legacy wherever we work. We develop new housing, construct and refurbish people’s homes and create homes for rent, shared ownership and open market sale. Lovell’s expertise is creating large-scale and social renewal throughout the country.

This is a permanent role within the Health, Safety & Environmental department, actively promoting a positive and proactive approach to health, safety, wellbeing and the environment, reporting to the Regional Health, Safety & Environmental Manager.

Daily duties will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act and company procedures
  • Keeping up to date with developments and legislative requirements on all health, safety & environmental matters within the industry     
  • Carrying out site inspections and audits and reporting on findings    

The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria:

  • Experience of working in construction
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or higher)
  • TechSP Member of IOSH (or higher) with an up to date IPD/CPD diary
  • Experience of undertaking site safety inspections and IMS audits on live construction sites
  • Experience of accident investigation and reporting     

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following experience:

  • Social housing refurbishment works
  • KPI data collection & report writing
  • Delivering in-house training & tool box talks
  • Managing Internal Management Systems (OHSAS18001, ISO14001, & ISO9001)
