Role:  Service Engineer (Electrician Multi Skilled)

Salary: £29,000 to £33,000

Based: Eastend Homes, East London

We are the nation’s complete housing solutions specialist with over 30 years’ experience within the affordable housing sector. We provide planned and reactive maintenance to over 200,000 domestic properties nationwide and have a significant portfolio of large-scale framework refurbishment programmes. We refurbish and modernise approximately 10,000 homes per annum and complete in excess of 300,000 repairs a year.

 

About The Role

We are currently recruiting for anelectrician to join our business, you will undertake electrical activities regarding the full range of repairs, maintenance and associated tasks from conception through to completion.

You will undertake other multi-skilled duties regarding the full range of repairs, maintenance and associated activities from conception through to completion such as making good patch repairs, small items of redecoration, replacement of immersion heaters.

You will deliver work that meets the project requirements, customer satisfaction, SHEQ standards and in accordance with Morgan Sindall standards.

All team members are expected to contribute to the delivery of excellent operational performance and championing a ‘perfect delivery’ service.  This will require building relationships with both directly employed and subcontracted resources, ensuring with the goal to deliver cost effective, high quality customer focussed outputs.

About You

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and deliver effective interaction with all internal and external stakeholders.  You will have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders and ensure best practice prevails throughout the contract.

You will be required to demonstrate flexibility in terms of hours of work, responding to repairs, reprioritising, and also being available to undertake call-out duties in accordance with a rota system.

You’ll work solo and arrange your own movements based on job information that comes to you via the IT equipment we provide. The ability to manage your own time is essential.

This post has a minimum requirement for the following qualifications:

  • C&G Pt 1&2 (or equivalent) for electrical Installations
  • C&G 2382 17th Edition
  • C&G 2391 or 2395 testing & Inspection
  • Part P Qualified

Ideally you will also hold the following in date qualifications / certificates; CSCS/ JIB card, PASMA,IPAF, Working at Heights, Asbestos Awareness.

Adherence to Health and Safety Standards set by the company in accordance with other regulatory bodies will be of paramount importance to you.
