Role:  Service Engineer (Multi Skilled)

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 dependant on experience

Based: Cardiff

We are the nation’s complete housing solutions specialist with over 30 years’ experience within the affordable housing sector. We provide planned and reactive maintenance to over 200,000 domestic properties nationwide and have a significant portfolio of large-scale framework refurbishment programmes. We refurbish and modernise approximately 10,000 homes per annum and complete in excess of 300,000 repairs a year.

 

About The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our business, you will undertake multi-skilled duties regarding the full range of repairs, maintenance and associated activities from conception through to completion.

You will deliver work that meets the project requirements, customer satisfaction, SHEQ standards and in accordance with Morgan Sindall standards.

All team members are expected to contribute to the delivery of excellent operational performance and championing a ‘perfect delivery’ service.  This will require building relationships with both directly employed and subcontracted resources, ensuring with the goal to deliver cost effective, high quality customer focussed outputs.

About You

You will be a fully skilled tradesperson with a background in plumbing, be proficient in secondary trades such as tiling, painting & decorating, plastering, floor laying skills are also desirable and be able to carry out repairs to the highest standards.

You will be required to demonstrate flexibility in terms of hours of work, responding to repairs, reprioritising, and also being available to undertake call-out duties in accordance with a rota system.

 

You should be a customer focused individual, experienced in working in both occupied and void properties with a passion for completing a high quality repair on time and at the first visit.

You will be required to carry out the full range of general maintenance and refurbishment work to occupied and vacant properties whilst ensuring that Health and Safety procedures and safe working practices are adhered to at all times.

You must hold a valid UK driving licence as a company vehicle will be provided (work use only). 

As a minimum you should have an excellent working H&S knowledge and in date training certs in: Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, Manual Handling.

Candidate must hold relevant trade qualification either City and Guilds or NVQ in plumbing.
