Opportunity:
We have a fantastic opportunity within our Infrastructure business for an ambitious and talented Planning Manager to work within the Fusion HS2 Joint Venture.
We are looking for a Planning Manager who will provide planning management and support to both the pre-contract and contract operations for the business. The right applicant will have experience on large infrastructure schemes within the Planning function.
Already experienced as a Planning Manager, you will be competent in project management software preferably Primavera Version 6+, and have extensive knowledge in programme and project management, project planning, including programme controls, project review, and cost and risk analysis

Responsibilities:
As a Planning Manager you will:
- Provide coordinated planning strategies
- Provide programmes as required for pre-construction and construction activities
- Produce and monitor programme and planning activities
- Provide planning direction, training and support to key members of the project team
- Anticipate opportunities for risks in advance and advise on options to resolve
- Produce tender programmes compliant with ITT, tender sum, design (where appropriate), assurance, and methodology agreed with suppliers and bid teams
- Produce other programme tender deliverables as required by bid team
- Deliver presentation of tender programme to both Internal and external customers
Already experienced as a Planning Manager, you will be educated to professional level with a relevant degree or equivalent in a core business discipline. You will have experience of working on multi-discipline Civil Engineering projects.
About the Highways Team:
Our projects encompass motorway widening, congestion relief, safety improvement and bypass schemes. Recent work includes M62 Smart Motorways, Lincolnshire’s new A1073 bypass, the A1 Improvement scheme from Dishforth to Barton in North Yorkshire, and the M74 Completion Project through central Glasgow, Scotland’s largest infrastructure scheme. Under Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) schemes, we engage with our customers as early as possible to maximise innovation, efficiency and cost savings.
