We provide planned and reactive maintenance to over 200,000 domestic properties nationwide and have a significant portfolio of large-scale framework refurbishment programmes. We refurbish and modernise approximately 10,000 homes per annum and complete in excess of 300,000 repairs a year.
About The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader to join our business, with specific responsibility for lifecycle works on a repairs and maintenance contract in Manchester. The suitable applicant will be familiar with Decent Homes types works, this will encompass the following works: Door and porch renewals, Kitchen and bathroom installations, Floor and tiling finishes, Decorating works, Installation of sheds and garden fences, window replacement plus roofs at a later stage of the contract.
You will have experience in leading a team undertaking the full range of reactive maintenance and associated activities from conception through to completion. You will deliver work that meets the project requirements, customer satisfaction, SHEQ standards and in accordance with Morgan Sindall standards.
All team members are expected to contribute to the delivery of excellent operational performance and championing a ‘perfect delivery’ service. This will require building relationships with both directly employed and subcontracted resources, ensuring with the goal to deliver cost effective, high quality customer focussed outputs.
You'll Influence profitability and basic budget management, S,H&E management, contract compliance and help maintain excellent customer relationships.
About You
You should be a customer focused individual who preferably holds SMSTS and IOSH manager qualifications.
You should also hold the following certifications; Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling and Working at Heights. Ideally you will also have Scaffold Inspection / Awareness and First Aid qualifications or certificates.
Whilst the above qualifications are desirable, consideration would be given towards the company providing these for the suitable applicant.
You must have experience in decent homes type’s works within the social housing sector to be considered for this role.
You should be fully PC literate who is comfortable with MS systems such as word, excel & outlook.
Adherence to Health and Safety Standards set by the company in accordance with other regulatory bodies will be of paramount importance to you.
