The Position –Principle Contractors Site Manager on UK wide Electricity Transmission projects.
Responsibilities:
As Site Manager you will be:
- Responsible for day to day site management in line with National Grids procedures.
- Ensure quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with specification.
- Operate and promote a high standard of health and safety and environment compliance.
As an experienced engineer, you will have relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng), a relevant CSCS card and experience as a Temporary Works Co-ordinator. You will also have experience of working on Electricity Transmission projects and will be able to evidence experience of working to National Grids Technical Procedures.
Ideally you will have previously been appointed as Principle Contractors Site Manager (PCSM) under NG TP 137.11 or be able to demonstrate the relevant experience and qualification to obtain this appointment. Specifically you will have knowledge and experience of:
- NG Competent Person
- EUSR BESC
- Impressed Voltages
- CDM Regulations
- Control of Temporary Works
- UK Environmental and Waste Management legislation
- Avoidance of underground services
- Relevant current NG Transmission Procedures (TP).

Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair and refurbishment services.
