Opportunity:
We have a fantastic opportunity within our Highways business for an ambitious and talented Commercial Manager. The role will sit within the Fusion HS2 Joint Venture which is undertaking the £300million Enabling Works Contract for the whole of the central section of HS2 Phase 1 (C1, C2, C3).
The successful candidate will be joining the existing team of passionate and dedicated professionals working together on this innovative project.
The Commercial Manager will manage all commercial aspects including the preparation and pricing of contracts, supporting the bid team and working with the design and delivery teams to ensure costs savings are successfully delivered.

Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Manager you will:
- Develop and agree a commercial strategy which achieves budget and maximises profitability
- Lead, manage and develop the wider commercial team
- Manage commercial risk and opportunity
- Ensure all commercial reporting procedures are adhered to
- Act as a single point of contact for all commercial, legal, financial and administrative issues with the customer, suppliers and subcontractors
- Partner with technical experts to provide regular commercial insight on the performance of supply chain organisations contracted to projects, enabling the project to make informed decisions about contract variation
The post-holder will be a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CIOB). Extensive knowledge and experience of the commercial management of high-value contracts is required, as well as having the ability to manage high-value contractual disputes to successful conclusion. Strong project management skills with experience in procurement, contract and financial management and familiar with civil engineering contracts, including forms of contract is a requirement.

Fusion is a fully integrated, unincorporated joint venture that connects three of the UK’s most experienced infrastructure companies - Morgan Sindall Infrastructure Services, BAM Nuttall Ltd and Ferrovial Agroman. Amey, part of Ferrovial, is an affiliated member of the Joint Venture.
High-speed rail is the worldwide standard for long-distance, inter-city rail travel.
