Description

“Talented People are the Key to Our Success”

At Morgan Sindall we offer you a team you can trust and a place to make your mark. With a 3,500 strong workforce, a turnover of c. £1.4 billion and growing you might expect to be a small fish in a big pond; but our decentralised way of working makes being part of the Morgan Sindall team feel different to other big companies. We act quickly and will trust you to make the best decisions for yourselves, our customers and our company.

What you will get

We are set up as a place where you can do your best work and you will get the opportunity to be a part of the UK’s most interesting and complex construction and infrastructure projects. You will join our externally accredited learning programme so that you have everything you need to develop your career with us.

We offer a competitive starting salary, company car and 26 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). As well as this, you will get competitive benefits including discounted gym memberships, shopping vouchers and the opportunity to buy up to five days additional leave.

Where you will work

We have opportunities in our Nuclear, Energy, Water and Aviation businesses.

In our Nuclear, Energy and Water business unit you will experience working with enthusiastic and experienced teams who want to share their knowledge with you to help you learn, develop and grow. Working throughout the country from Northern Scotland to the South coast we work with a select number of customers providing solutions which help improve the quality of the UK’s infrastructure.

In Nuclear, we specialise in work including delivering infrastructure projects across the UK to highly complex nuclear licenced sites. Working with Sellafield Ltd on a long term framework, we operate in nuclear and non-nuclear areas. We deliver projects across the Cumbria site which help to reduce the downtime of plant and equipment; and prevent the degrading of its facilities. We also work for BAE Systems in Barrow in Furness on a project to extend their Dock Hall facility, which will transform the submarine building capabilities.

In Energy, our teams are focused on assisting both transmission and distribution network operators in maintaining a safe supply of electricity, reducing potential customer power cuts and minutes lost to the end user.

In Water, we work with companies such as Yorkshire Water, Welsh Water and Thames Tideway helping them to improve the efficiency of their facilities. This may include building new treatment works or upgrading or refurbishing them to help minimise the risk of these facilities failing.

In our Aviation business we partner with Heathrow, the airport is a critical part of Britain’s national infrastructure and an economic engine for the local area.  As the UK's only hub airport and the biggest port by value for trade with countries outside the EU. Heathrow currently serves 194 routes to more than 80 countries. We work with this exciting business to deliver airside and landside projects.

Who we want

We are looking for people who are genuinely interested in our company and have a passion for the sector. Our most successful graduates have a positive attitude, want to learn and work well with others. Academic record is important, but it’s not the only thing we look at.

What happens next?

We have opportunities to join our 2018 graduate programme starting with a welcome event on 26 and 27 September.

Once you have applied using our short and (hopefully) painless application form, someone will get back to you within ten working days.

Please hold 26 April – this is when we will be running an event where you can find out more about us and we can find out more about you.

After that, we will get back to you within 48 hours with some feedback about whether we’d like to offer you a place on the programme.

So if you are enthusiastic, hardworking and like to challenge the norm – please apply now.
