Sustainability Manager

At Lovell we build, refurbish, regenerate, maintain and repair homes and communities across the UK. We have become the nation’s complete housing business, providing our partners with the most comprehensive service in the industry.

We are looking for someone to take a strategic view of sustainability within the business, identifying the key issues and ensuring that we are demonstrating leadership in these areas. You will be an excellent communicator, comfortable leading meetings and presenting to clients, senior leadership within Lovell and to all levels of the business. You will be able to take complex ideas and present them convincingly to different audiences.

You will also be responsible for monitoring our performance against the Morgan Sindall Total Commitments to sustainability and prepare reports pertaining to each pillar of commitment to facilitate transparent progress.

The position will involve engaging with all relevant departments to drive sustainable commitments into systems, setting targets and objectives and exploring opportunities for improvements.

The successful candidate will produce and issue monthly, quarterly and annual reports for both internal publication and for dissemination within the Morgan Sindall Group. He/she will also ensure any relevant issues are highlighted and attend sustainability forums within Lovell and the Group.

An important aspect of this position is the provision of support to bid teams when required, both directly and by establishing and maintaining a verified answer database which can be readily accessed.

In order to promote the culture of sustainability throughout the organisation, the post holder will be expected to devise and deliver regional workshops to update and improve understanding and implementation of sustainability goals on an ongoing basis. There will also be a requirement to update the Intranet with current information to allow full access across the business.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working on sustainability within a large organisation and have extensive knowledge of technical and operational Environmental issues.
