Description

Lovell South Wales & South West Region are seeking an experienced, highly competent, dynamic and proven bid writer to join the Regional Business Development Team based in the Cardiff office. The successful candidate will be tasked with the creation of effective yet imaginative responses to pre-qualification questionnaires and tender submissions. This role would suit an experienced, driven individual who can deliver high volumes of quality written submissions yet meet tight deadlines.

Reporting to the Regional Partnerships Director the role involves:

  • Working as part of the bid team to source, collate and win competitive tenders.
  • Drafting, writing, editing, proof-reading PQQ’s and tender submission responses using persuasive and positive language.
  • Leading storyboard sessions with wider bid team members to develop coherent and tailored responses.
  • Re-writing and editing proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contribution from sales, operations, commercial, customer and community.
  • Creating high quality proposal documents, including co-ordinating written content as well as graphical design using InDesign software.
  • Carrying out research on clients and projects to aid and tailor the written responses.
  • Compiling regional project case studies, community newsletters and other marketing material.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong written English language skills.
  • Strong evidenced backed experience of writing high quality construction Pre-Qualification, tender and framework submissions.
  • Experience of research and writing highly specific responses which generally are technical/construction and/or client focused nature.
  • Excellent written oral and communication skills including the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
  • Attention to detail with proof reading skills.
  • Experience of managing a diverse workload, time management and multiple projects.
  • Demonstrates an excellent technical and creative writing ability, screen editing and can produce visuals/graphics to enhance text.
