Opportunity:

This position will be focused on the delivery of a programme of replacement of electrical distribution systems within existing facilities on site.  This will include the full project life cycle from scoping, design, permits, temporary works, construction, commissioning and hand-over. It will include planning a series of outages and directing a team of engineers and electricians through the work.

Project Manager – Level 2 reporting to the Project Manager – Level 1 covering Electrical and Control Systems biased projects and tasks within the Analytical and Facilities Services portfolio. The role is part of an integrated alliance, and will involve working collaboratively with all members of the alliance team, which includes representatives from the Customer organisation.

 

Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager level 2, you will:

  • Have experience as a Project Manager (PM2) or Senior Project Engineer, with a proven record of project delivery.
  • Be experienced in either (or both) the management of similar electrical projects and the delivery of projects on site.
  • Have a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Project Management, the supporting process and tools.
  • Demonstrate a professional approach to their work and an appreciation of responsibilities for both customer and contract requirements and needs.
  • Customer satisfaction in accordance with Morgan Sindall standards.

Already experienced as a project manager, you will be educated to degree or HNC/HND level in a relevant technical discipline.  You will have proven experience of working with and managing contractors within a traditional construction project and you will have a good understanding of commercial issues affecting project performance.
