Role: Regional HR Advisor

Based: Aldgate, London

Salary: from £32,000 depending on experience plus company car

We provide planned and reactive maintenance to over 200,000 domestic properties nationwide and have a significant portfolio of large-scale framework refurbishment programmes. Our main areas of expertise include: building management systems, day-to-day responsive repairs, void property refurbishments, programmed maintenance, and electrical and gas installations, servicing and repairs.

 

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional HR Advisor based in London. Reporting to the Head of HR you will act as the regional expert providing Business Partnering service throughout the region, delivering and promoting best practise to stakeholders. You will be able to carry out the following: 

  • Managing all aspects of day to day HR operations, applying policies and procedures
  • Provide the business with relevant people related information to help achieve objectives
  • Proactively manage the improvement of agreed HR metrics, reflecting HR performance in the region
  • Effectively manage HR casework to achieve efficient and positive outcomes to any issues arising
  • Ensure relevant approvals are obtained where appropriate in accordance with HR procedures
  • Gather and analyse HR management information to enable effective performance measure and targeting per contract within the Region
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of face-to-face and across all generalist HR areas to include but not be limited to attendance management; performance management and appraisal; HR policies and procedures etc.
  • Delivery of projects across all HR disciplines in line with the People Plan, for example, talent management, employee engagement etc.
  • Manage requirements to communicate with all employees, ensure that copies of any relevant documents are retained for record purposes
  • Give advice, guidance and support to the business on employee relations issues (disciplinary, absence management, performance, termination etc)
  • Update the team on HR and LD developments
  • Provide excellent customer service in response to queries received and maintain confidentiality at all time
  • Attend Regional Contract meetings as required and offer advice to managers if appropriate
  • Advise the business and staff on terms and conditions of employment
  • Manage the TUPE process with business managers using HR procedures
  • Support the business in Redundancy situations using HR procedures

 

About You

  • Qualifications, CIPD Qualified, working towards or equivalent HR experience
  • Experience providing complex employee relations / generalist HR advice and guidance to all staffing levels
  • Experience of managing a significant caseload of HR cases from start to finish achieving successful outcomes
  • Experience of managing TUPE transfers
  • Experience of working across multiple sites
  • Expert knowledge of current HR legislation
  • Excellent written communication skills & interpersonal skills
  • Able to use discretion intelligently, resourceful and solution-oriented
  • Networking with internal/external customers
  • Team working (in-team and collaboratively across business)
