Responsibilities:

As a project engineer - mechanical you will:

  • Provide support and input to the mechanical engineering solutions to projects through pre-contract, construction and aftercare phases.
  • You will be responsible for reviewing, challenging and developing mechanical concept designs for build ability and cost effectiveness. 
  • You will also lead and support the preparation of enquiries for plant, materials and services and recommend the most economically advantageous solution for inclusion in the project scope. 

As a project engineer – mechanical you will hold a BTEC HNC in mechanical engineering, or equivalent. You will also be able to evidence experience in materials, subcontract letting and subcontract management.

Our work focuses on delivering non-nuclear infrastructure activities in a nuclear environment both for civil and military customers.

The ISA is an integrated team of Sellafield Ltd, and Morgan Sindall and Arup in joint venture as delivery partners. Together, the partners are responsible for a £1.1 billion contract to deliver infrastructure improvements on a nuclear licensed site that manages one of the largest inventories of hazardous material in Western Europe.
