Our main areas of expertise include: building management systems, day-to-day responsive repairs, void property refurbishments, programmed maintenance, and electrical and gas installations, servicing and repairs.

 

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Planned Works Manager with specific responsibility for contracts within the London and Home Counties area. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager the role will require the successful candidate to take responsibility for the development, implementation & delivery of multiple established planned works projects totaling circa £15m – 30m pa ensuring excellent operational performance. Managing both directly employed and subcontracted resources, you will ensure they are managed and motivated to deliver cost effective, high quality customer focused outputs. Typical projects include, but are not limited to: Internal improvements to tenanted properties, external improvements, roofing, EWI, FRA upgrades, electrical / mechanical upgrades, door and window upgrades, redecoration works & estate improvements

Working with your Commercial team, you will develop Task Proposals, Task Prices and delivery programs for identified schemes, working to Client briefs. You will then take management responsibility for the delivery of the projects through the build stage. You will also work with the teams to secure additional organic growth and assist with securing new work streams / clients.

About You

Candidates must have proven experience of managing large and small scale planned capital improvement projects, ideally in the social housing sector, within a Partnering environment. Prospective candidates should be able to demonstrate experience of leading teams on similar schemes with evidence of successfully delivering operational, financial and Health & Safety performance. The successful candidate will preferably possess a recognised site / project management qualification (CIOB / NVQ level 4-7).

Candidates should be able to demonstrate at previous experience of managing similar multiple schemes / teams, have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to deliver effective interaction with all members of the operational Management & Client Teams. You will have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders and ensure best practice prevails on all activities. You will be the Operational lead at stakeholder meetings.

You may have experience in the following; H&S, Commercial Awareness, Project Strategy, Project Development, Development of Task Proposals and Task pricing documents, Construction / building maintenance, Business Management Systems, Procurement, Risk Management and Sub-Contract co-ordination.

IT literate with good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Project
