Description

We are looking for a hardworking and committed Training Coordinator/Administrator to work together with the Training advisor, providing a support service throughout the region regarding training and development, and facilitating central training policy and strategy within the region.  The role includes working closely with the Training Advosor providing administrative support

Duties include:

  • Assist with the planning of training provision with the region and company
  • Assist with the design and delivery of training events, courses, packages
  • Maintain a sound understanding of current development and thinking regarding training and learning, and of the key stages of training.
  • Maintain relationships with representatives of external training bodies within the region
  • Establish and maintain links with local providers of support for training and development
  • Ensure all systems/documents are regularly updated
  • Produce monthly report as part of management reporting procedure in the Training Advisor's absence
  • Ensuring CITB grant claim is maximised for the region
  • Regular updating of the Training Database - Empower
  • Undertaking any general typing of process documents, letters for job applicants, training course joining instructions and booking information.
  • Photocopying and filing of training information to ensure records are maintained and available for claiming CITB funding. Copying and issuing staff with original certificates. Keeping organised paperwork for access by training advisor.
  • Contacting training providers by telephone and corresponding by e-mail and post to assist with booking of courses.
  • Request training information from office and site staff in person and/or in writing, and chase when necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Assist regional training advisor with co-ordination of training events by booking venues, booking refreshments, issuing delegate lists and obtaining attendance records.

 

Applicants will need to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role, with a good standard of education, excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent IT skills and a keen eye for detail.
