Role: Electrical Qualifying Supervisor 

Based: Westminster

Our main areas of expertise include: building management systems, day-to-day responsive repairs, void property refurbishments, programmed maintenance, and electrical and gas installations, servicing and repairs.

 

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Qualifying Supervisor based in Westminster with responsiblites such as:

  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and correctly either by PDA or written reports
  • Keeping your supervisor and the office informed at all times on job progress and completion information
  • Cover OOH emergency repairs on a rota basis if required and be prepared to work overtime when the need arises to get your work completed
  • Attend all mandatory workforce meetings
  • Maintain and review all TBT’s and Technical updates
  • Complete all the necessary paperwork upon completion of each allocated job
  • Ensure the vehicles essential daily/weekly routine maintenance is observed/implemented and the vehicle is kept clean and tidy.

 

About You

  • Qualified to City & Guilds Level 2 and 3 or NVQ level 2 and 3.
  • Qualified to City & Guilds 2382: 17th Edition amendment or current edition
  • Qualified to City & Guilds 236 Parts 1 & 2, 2330 Level 2&3, 2381, 2382, 2361, 2362, 2391, 2392, 2380 & 2394, 2395, 2365. NVQ level 2 & 3 Asbestos Awareness
  • H&S Awareness, Customer Care, Equality & Diversity, CSCS, Induction, ECS, working at height, IPAF and manual handling, etc.
  • NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor experience
  • Experience of dealing with electricians and quality issues.
  • Experience of maintain NICEIC accreditation.
  • Experience of managing and prioritising workload.
  • Able to test and diagnose complex electrical defects.
  • Experience of undertaking quality inspections
  • Ability to train staff and improve standards
  • Be an approved Electrician
  • Have undertaken testing and inspection for a min of five year
  • Able to write technical reports
  • Understanding of issues around the delivery of all aspects of electrical works.
  • Understanding of the role of Qualified Supervisor and NICEIC accreditation
  • Understanding the importance of electrical compliance and certification.
  • Hold relevant qualification and professional qualifications.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and codes of practice including H&S, Electrical, Fire Legislation and Regulations, etc.
  • Able to ensure electrical compliance and NICEIC accreditation
  • Able to manage and direct electricians.
  • Able to manage and direct subcontractors
  • Able to manage quality control, compliance and certification.
  • Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Able to effectively plan and organise a wide and challenging workload.
  • Able to explain complex information clearly to residents, staff, and contractors.
  • Able to use Click software, MS Word, Project, Outlook and Excel packages.
  • Able to create and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Able to work as a member of a team, performing in a flexible, supportive way.
  • Able to record information accurately, and to correspond effectively.
  • Numeracy and literacy to be commensurate with grade.
