Description

We are currently seeking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic, experienced Operations Director to work as part of the Senior Management Team of the Lovell South Wales and South West of England Region, based out of our Cardiff Regional Office.

The successful applicant will report to the Regional Managing Director in the Lovell SW & SW Region and will be responsible for leading and managing the Operational Teams. Driving delivery of quality projects, on time, to budget and safely is essential. The role requires development of positive relationships with both internal and external customers and clients, with a focus on Service Delivery and Client and Customer Satisfaction. The Region has exciting growth plans over the next 5 years, and will be looking to expand the 3 key areas of operation -

  • open market sales/mixed tenure
  • new build contracting
  • planned maintenance

 The successful candidate will require the drive and ambition to work with the Senior Management Team to manage all live projects as well as working strategically on the expansion plans for the Region.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a Construction Management/Director role, having managed Build/Contracts Managers, with experience of overseeing a variety of housing projects including, mixed tenure/open market as well as Design and Build contracting. The role will require the candidate to have the ability to work to clear deadlines and to the high standards expected by Lovell. A sound knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC standards and Health & Safety legislation is essential. Experience of building apartments as well as two and three storey homes will be a requirement.

 We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic, assertive and confident individual who is proactive, flexible and able to take ownership for their work, combined with the ability to develop strong leadership and communication skills. A leader of people who will encourage and develop a growing operational team, and give certainty to the business objectives of programme, quality and H&S.
