Based: National - London/Sheffield

We provide planned and reactive maintenance to over 200,000 domestic properties nationwide and have a significant portfolio of large-scale framework refurbishment programmes. Our main areas of expertise include: building management systems, day-to-day responsive repairs, void property refurbishments, programmed maintenance, and electrical and gas installations, servicing and repairs.

 

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Business Improvement to join our Property Services business.  Reporting directly into the Director of Transformation, the Head of Business Improvement will provide Project Leadership for contract mobilisations and demobilisations and will work closely with both Group and external organisations in identifying and implementing industry best practice.  This role will also support under-performing areas of the business through a process of review and the subsequent development and implementation of Business Improvement Plans.

Other duties will include:

  • Supporting the Director of Transformation in balancing the interests of shareholders, employees, clients, customers and other stakeholders, ensuring good profitability and supporting the delivery of the 5 year strategic business plan
  • Recognising the commercial responsibilities and promote a strong commercial culture across the business 
  • Abide by, and work within, the spirit of the MSPS Good Governance Charter and Values
  • Fully support the company’s financial position through active and ethical financial management, transparency and collaboration with the Finance and Commercial Teams. 
  • Ensure risks are identified early and actively managed
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to develop best practise and implement change
  • Support on the implementation of all our policies, Company, industry standards and initiatives with overall contractual compliancy across all projects 
  • Actively support and champion our HS&E strategy and the management system and applications of HS&E standards across the business

  

About You 

  • Understanding of the R&M, Planned sector and technical/ compliance services and operational requirements
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to build both strong client and internal relationships at all levels
  • To be self - motivated and able to develop ideas and initiatives
  • Ability to lead, facilitate and co-ordinate various functional activities
  • Ability to work in a collegiate manner and with teams
  • Significant leadership, change, and project delivery experience
